Chiang Mai boat tour

I really liked Chiang Mai. There were tons of cultural things and places to visit. While we were there we took a cooking class and learned how to make 2 kinds of curry from scratch, a Thai rice pudding dessert, salad, and sweet and sour vegetables. We got to eat all of the food we made and it was delicious. I couldn't believe how much food we had eatten by the end of the day. We went on a boat tour of the river. Everywhere you go in Thailand there are river boat tours. A James Bond movie was shot somewhere in the country and many places offer to take you to James Bond Island on a James Bond boat. The funny thing about this to me is that in Chiang Mai, Bankock, Phuket, and PhiPhi Island (all very spread out and in completely different parts of the country) we got offered these types of tours. I don't feel like the most experienced traveler, but at least I wasn't guliable enough to take one of these tours. Our boat tour was a 2 or 3 hour ride. Here's a picture from my seat in the boat.
Here's a building we saw on the tour
The boat took us to a fruit and vegetable garden. It was this totally manufactured place so that tourists could see a few plants, how they catch fish in nets and the way rice used to be polished. It was interesting. Also included in the tour price was some delicious pineapple and watermelon. The way the filet the pineapple in Thailand is amazing. I think it would take years of practice for me to make a fruit look so nice.
